Jeff Berger, Chief Executive Officer

Jeff Berger is the President of Digital Media at the Universum Group, the global leader in employer branding and CEO of Doostang.com, a subsidiary of the Universum Group and a leading employment network for young professionals.

Berger joined Universum in 2011 after working with its investment arm on the acquisition of Doostang.com. Founded in 2005, Doostang has grown into a leading destination for young professionals with 1 in 4 recent graduates from the top 30 U.S. universities joining. The company experienced financial trouble following the recession but has been a successful turnaround since the acquisition. Doostang continues to profitably grow and acquired Jobfox.com in 2012, an employment site with over 9 million members.

In addition to building Doostang and the B2C arm of Universum, Berger is the President of Digital Media and oversees the direction and strategy for the digital department. Since joining Universum, Berger and his team have developed a product portfolio that helps hundreds of companies recruit candidates and increase their employer brand worldwide. Universum Digital operates career websites in eight countries and recently re-launched Wetfeet.com in the United States.

Prior to the Universum Group and Doostang, Berger spent three years as the CEO and co-founder of KODA, an Internet recruiting company based in San Francisco. Berger graduated from Tulane University and currently resides in New York City.

Shawn Donohue, Director of Online Marketing

Shawn manages all of the online marketing activity at doostang, including Web, Email, and Social Media. Prior to joining Doostang, Shawn was Director of IT at Ixtens. Previously Shawn was the Lead Generation Manager at Wimba, and Regional CRM specialist at Grant Thornton LLP. Shawn has a degree from Pennsylvania State University in Telecommunications.

Kevin Bartel, Director of Business Development

Kevin Bartel joined Doostang in June 2011 and is responsible for building connections and managing strategic partnerships efforts for Doostang. Kevin previously worked in the financial services industry as an Investment Consulting Analyst and taught high school in China for a year. In his spare time, Kevin can be found planning his next international adventure, jamming out to live music, and devouring the spiciest foods he can find. Kevin graduated from the University of Wisconsin-Madison and currently resides in San Francisco, California.
