Press Release :
Doostang Seals Partnership With University of Virginia's Darden School of Business
New York, NY — April 8, 2009: Doostang, an exclusive website targeting graduates from the leading U.S. universities, today entered into a partnership with The University of Virginia's Darden School of Business to give its approximately 770 students access to over 10,000 elite career opportunities at Doostang.com.
"Given the challenging economic times, my office has been looking at new ways to help our MBA students find jobs and internships which they are passionate about," said Jack Oakes, Director, Career Development Center. "Early in our discussions with Doostang, it became evident that partnering with them would be beneficial to helping the careers of both first and second year MBA students. We are excited to leverage Doostang to increase the number of career opportunities available to our students."
Starting today, Darden MBA students will have access to Doostang's exclusive postings, which include thousands of positions at the leading finance and investment houses, consulting firms, media companies and technology startups. Not only do Doostang members have access to thousands of hard-to-find jobs, they also have the ability to apply directly to the hiring manager [thereby bypassing the "black hole" of online applications] and connect with other Doostang members who work at the hiring company to help guide them through the application process.
"We are delighted that Jack and his team have decided to work with us," said Mareza Larizadeh, Founder of Doostang. "We look forward to immediately helping Darden's classes of 2009 and 2010 in their job search and working longer term with Darden to bring the jobs on Doostang to its alumni."
