We are current seeking a Marketing Associate to join our Private Capital team in Minneapolis, MN. The primary objective/role of the person in this position will be to raise capital for our funds from private equity investors. In order to achieve the objective, the person will be expected to proactively identify, contact and meet potential investors to gain an understanding of their investment objectives, introduce our fund strategies and offer investors an opportunity to meet the investment professionals in our group. Prompt, effective and frequent follow-up with potential investors will be required in order to develop strong relationships. The person is expected to have an understanding of private equity or the demonstrated capability to quickly gain such understanding, as well as an ability to quickly understand the key aspects of our fund strategies. The position requires frequent domestic travel and occasional international travel.

Responsibilities include:
Proactively identify and contact potential investors, including pension plans, endowments, family offices and foundations, as well as their consultants
Develop, build and maintain relationships with potential investors, existing investors and investment consultants
Promptly and thoughtfully respond to investor requests, which includes working with team to gather appropriate information/data and strategizing effective ways in which to present it
Strategize with team to develop, modify and update marketing materials
Assist team in development of new fund strategies

Qualifications include:

Knowledge of private equity or demonstrated capability to quickly gain an understanding

Bachelors degree required, MBA and Series 7 preferred
