JOB DESCRIPTION
The firm is currently seeking an Associate Portfolio Manager to join our team.
The Associate Portfolio Manager is responsible for working closely with Sr. Portfolio Managers in three primary areas - the management of client investment portfolios, the client service function of existing clients, and the development of new business by marketing our services to prospective clients. This position will train under the supervision of Sr. Portfolio Managers to follow a 3-5-year career plan to become a Portfolio Manager. The percentage of time allocated to each of these three functions will vary based upon skill set and firm needs.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
1.Management of client investment portfolios
a.Learn in detail the needs, goals and financial objectives of clients assigned.
b.Develop investment strategies to meet needs, goals and objectives of such clients.
c.Allocate assets based on strategies.
d.Invest portfolio assets under supervision of Sr. Portfolio Manager.
e.Monitor portfolios to insure adherence to strategies.
f.Maintain client contact to confirm that stated needs, goals and objectives are current and relevant.
g.Keep clients apprised of portfolio status and progress.
2.Provide top quality client service.
a. Maintain good client contact.
b. Develop investment strategies to meet needs, goals and objectives of such clients.
c. Monitor client accounts to insure that current strategies are continuing to meet client's needs, goals and objectives.
d. Manage portfolios, both investments and administration, to insure maximum client satisfaction and attainment of client needs, goals and objectives.
e. Develop open and clear communications with clients and their significant advisors.
3. Develop additional revenue producing business.
a. Develop referral networks with professionals and individuals likely to be significant advisors (i.e., accountants, lawyers, etc.).
b. Work with the director of marketing to insure that new client presentations are current and relevant.
c. With the director of marketing and others in the firm, develop additional new business opportunities.
d. Establish a presence in the community and become a company Ambassador.
e. As directed, collaborate with the director of marketing and director of research in strategic development of new products and services.
f. Make recommendations to management for new approaches to garnering new business.

POSITION QUALIFICATIONS
1.Must have a Bachelors Degree.
2.A CFP designation is preferred.
3.Must have 3 - 5 years experience in investments, portfolio management, or a related field.
4.Must be computer literate and have a working knowledge of Microsoft Office applications, primarily Word and Excel.
