JOB DESCRIPTION
We are seeking an experienced payments professional to join the Prepaid Sales team. The Account Executive, Prepaid, is responsible for developing, maintaining, and executing sales, account management and growth strategies for the North American Consumer Prepaid business. Specific responsibilities will include direct ownership of the Canadian Prepaid Sales and Relationship Management Marketplace, responsibility for our Tier 2 Financial Institution relationships, as well as relationship management, growth and cross-sell for our Tier 2 Consumer Program Manager relationships. The position will work closely with various internal departments and external partners to ensure appropriate communication flows and sustained business relationships. Potential customers are typically large corporations and complex accounts, with multiple locations.
The position will be based in either Chicago, New York or Foster City (San Francisco Bay Area).
Specific responsibilities include:
*Develop and execute sales strategies and account plans to increase sales volume and market share, expand prepaid product category visibility and achieve/exceed defined product and corporate objectives.
* Sales and relationship management responsibility for all Prepaid products in Canada. Build market sales and account plan identifying prepaid objectives and opportunities.
* Develop and execute customized account plans to contracted customers within defined Tier 2 partners in the Consumer Prepaid space.
* Partner with the Financial Institution Account Executive's to develop customized account plans and sales strategies for defined Tier 2 Financial Institutions.
* Create new sales and revenue generating opportunities to meet and exceed defined sales goals.
* Implement strategies that position the business to shape and capitalize on emerging customer and market needs.
* Proactively identify and solve complex problems that impact the sales management and direction of the business.
* Expand existing relationships/partnerships through the selling of company products and services.
* Utilize a consultative sales approach that ensures that the client's business objectives are met and that the performance metrics of their payment portfolios are maximized.
* Prepare proposals and negotiate contractual relationships with prospects/customers for deploying our products and services.
* Continuously review client landscape and recommend, develop, and implement new and creative approaches to growing the company's business.
* Collaborate with the Product Management team regarding new product development.
* Extensive collaboration and teamwork with key internal company partners - particularly Product and Marketing teams, as well as other company Sales teams (Co-Brand, Commercial, Financial Institution, and Merchant) - to execute sales plans and strategies.
* Develop and enhance integrated sales and growth plans to track and manage product performance.
* Provide market and sales updates as requested to the Head of Prepaid Sales.
QUALIFICATIONS
* Bachelors degree required; MBA preferred.
* Solid payments experience with emphasis and focus on card payments.
* Position requires a minimum of 8 years business experience with related sales and management experience in the payments industry.
* Proven track record of successful sales and/or relationship management.
* Ability to manage and grow internal and external resources and cross functional relationships.
* Proven ability negotiating business agreements, enhance existing and develop new business partnerships.
* Prepaid card experience - demonstrated ability to develop strategies and execute.
* Ability to effectively create and deliver presentations to all audiences up to the executive levels.
* Exceptional ability to coordinate internal and external resources and nurture cross functional relationships.
* Ability to work independently and in collaboration with high level of success/achievement.
* Excellent written and oral communication skills.
* Consulting experience a plus.
* Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
