JOB DESCRIPTION

Under direct supervision, builds medium to high complexity models. In the case of high complexity models, the associate works on specific tasks within a project involving a team of other statisticians. Reports to a Manager or higher level statistician.

Responsibilities

Individuals will partner cross functionally to deliver statistical solutions. The types of tasks this role will be responsible for include the following:

• Analyzing data, building models and assessing their quality
• Model monitoring, supporting business decisions
• Training to develop skills for the next level
• Ad hoc statistical analyses on designed tests
• Identifying opportunities to apply statistics to improve business performance

The following skills/abilities will be important to succeed in this role:

~ Experience with logistic regression, decision trees, survival analysis, design of experiment and other statistical techniques
~ Communicating clearly and concisely to individuals from various backgrounds
~ Influencing others in both verbal and written mediums
~ Leveraging education, colleagues and training opportunities to develop solutions

QUALIFICATIONS

Required:

~ Masters degree in Statistics or similar quantitative field of study
~ Working knowledge of SAS or similar statistical programming package
~ Proficient in working with key statistical principles
~ Proficient with speaking and writing in English

***Currently pursuing a graduate degree to be completed within the next 10 months OR have completed one within the last 12 months

Preferred:

~ PhD in Statistics or similar quantitative field of study
~ Experience with relational databases
~ Strong SAS programming skills

• 1 Year experience in Using statistical tools to analyze data or conduct experimental design
• 1 Year experience in Statistical modeling
• 1 Year experience in Data analysis and reporting
• 1 Year experience in Presentation to non-statistical audience
