The investors in our commingled and single client portfolios include some of the most sophisticated public and corporate pension funds, endowments and institutional investors in the nation.

JOB DESCRIPTION

The Associate will be an integral member of the Business Development Team focused on revenue expansion and client service. This position will interface with the firm's clients and prospects as well as industry consultants to support the business development objectives. The Associate will work directly with senior staff and will have the potential to achieve partner status in five to seven years.

Responsibilities:

o Enhance strong client relationships, continuous strategic analysis to identify opportunities to increase revenue
o Initiate prospective efforts - research prospects, determine competitive positioning and formulate creative marketing approach
o Forge productive consultant relationships, however, demonstrate the ability to create demand with clients and prospects rather than simply respond to consultant led searches
o Effectively utilize the firm's resources to respond to requests including RFPs, due diligence questionnaires and ad-hoc reports
o Create a strong, positive industry brand for the company through firm sponsored events and strategic conference participation

QUALIFICATIONS

o Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university
o MBA (or other advanced degree) is desirable
o 3-5 years of strategic institutional sales experience, preferred focused on private equity
o Excellent communication (written and verbal), analytical and database skills

Additional abilities:

o Knowledge of key clients, prospects and consultants across industry
o Understanding of issues facing plan sponsors in the pension fund space
o Self motivated problem solver - able to work independently and as part of a team while delivering consistent results, many times on a deadline
o Displays integrity and trust in all relationship development activities
