Job Description

Purpose and Responsibilities:
To provide financial analysis critical to key business management decisions as well as preparing management reporting on financial metrics of the business.

Primary Responsibilities will be to develop and lead efforts in the area of financial analysis and reporting:
Client profitability and reporting
Monthly budget analysis and reporting
Business line profitability and reporting
Development of financial models and visual presentations of financial data to facilitate critical business decisions
Preparation of annual budget and business plans
Analysis of commission plans
Develop and participate in productivity & efficiency analysis
Perform other duties as assigned

The incumbent will also provide backup and/or perform audit functions in the following areas of accounting:
Monthly close and reconciliations
Cash receipts posting
Payroll processing
Bank account reconciliation
Client billing
Annual audits
Perform other duties as assigned

In addition, the incumbent will be a key contributor to the finance function in areas of leveraging technology and automation for key processes.

Must be technically competent and able to work independently in the following systems:
Financial analysis
Business systems and process analysis
Basic accounting and accounting softwares
MS Excel
MS Word
MS Access

Professional and Educational Requirements:
Bachelor's degree in finance (or related degree), MBA preferred
3-5 years of progressive financial analysis experience, preferably in a financial services organization
Strong verbal and written communication skills as well as presentation skills
Must be able to interact with all levels of the organization while maintaining strict confidentiality
Must have working knowledge of finance, accounting, spreadsheet, and word processing computer applications
This position requires a minimum of 40 hours per week (minimum eight hours a day) and is exempt for purposes of calculating overtime pay. Regular attendance and punctuality are required.
The Business Financial Analyst reports directly to the Controller.
